Skopelos is mentioned as Peparethos in the ancient years. According to the tradition
the island was firstly inhabited by the Cretes from Knossos. Prince Stafilos,
son of Dionysos and Ariadne is thought to be the very first king who inhabited
the island.
Hotel ARIADNE is in business since 1988.
It is built near the beach Stafilos, 4 km away from skopelos main village.
There is a bus that stops outside the hotel every 20 minutes. It is built in
an amphitheatric way according to the architectural tradition, 150m from the
marvellous beach of Stafilos.
All the rooms are traditionally furnished, providing all the comforts
needed: Television, Air condition, Bathroom, Telephone, Music, Verandas with
view to the sea. The sea keeps you company all the day long-starting. Breakfast
is served in the beautiful and comfortable dining room and to the adjoined big
veranda which is full of flowers and has a magnificent view to the sea.
The visitors can admire from there the transparent blue sea of the North Aegean.
The landscape is unique the atmosphere very pleasant and friendly, so that the
visitor feels just like as at home.
When the sunset comes the visitor can relax in the big veranda
and enjoy a delicious meal or a drink by enjoying the end of a magnificent Skopelian
day.
